Psalm 73

Psalms 73 is the 73rd psalm from the Book of Psalms. It was written by Asaph, a 10th-century BCE Levite. It grapples with one of life's most troublesome questions as to why the wicked prosper and avoid punishment. It goes into saying that the glamor of the wicked is futile, and is really a form of punishment.[1]

Because Psalm 73 addresses a challenging human problem—the apparent prosperity and trouble-free existence of the arrogant, wicked or revelers, it fits into the category of Wisdom Psalms.[2]
